Jason Siu Named General Manager of STAR Taiwan

Hong Kong / Taipei, March 20, 2007 - STAR today announced that Jason Siu has been appointed General Manager of STAR Taiwan, effective May 1 2007. Siu will replace Wayne Chou, who is resigning from the company, and both will work for a smooth transaction over the next few weeks. Reporting to Paul Aiello, Chief Executive Officer of STAR, Siu will lead STAR's broadcasting operations in Taiwan.

Siu has been General Manager, Chinese Programming, STAR, in charge of the development of STAR Taiwan's television programming, since March last year. He joined STAR in 2000 and was promoted to Associate Vice President of STAR CHINESE MOVIES in 2004, responsible for movie title acquisition and programme scheduling.

Commenting on the announcement, Aiello said, "Jason has successfully established himself as a consummate programming head, creating a host of popular shows for our channels in Taiwan. We have full confidence in him and we believe that his strong content production experience and in-depth understanding of Taiwan's highly competitive pay-TV industry will be pivotal in driving the continuous growth of our business in Taiwan."

Aiello continued, "Wayne has done a commendable job in leading STAR's broadcasting business in Taiwan over the past few years and has put in place a solid management and operation team. We thank him for his contributions and wish him all the best in his future endeavors."

Siu has more than 15 years of experience in the movie and television industry. He was involved in the production, post-production, distribution and finance management of numerous Chinese blockbusters including Island of Greed, New Tales of the Flying Fox, Sentenced to Hang and To Be Number One.
